To be fair, the stock wheels suck. And since I’d likely be doing many similar mods (except the weird mohawk hood), it would save me money in the end.
Seeing that this is a blog that thrives on clicks, it’s probably not about politics but about generating outrage. The author knows the Jalopnik community is gonna get riled up and so chose to write the article the way she did.
The reality is that “excess speed” ends up percolating to the top of the “surveys” because, in a case where the investigating cops can’t figure out a direct cause (loss of control due to alcohol, human error, mechanical, etc) , the box to check at the bottom (“None of The Above”, basically) was essentially “driving…
My first thought as well. I hate evidence free speculation like this, it reeks of politics.
Police did not identify speed as a primary factor in any of the 14 fatal crashes on 75 mph freeways in 2018
I’d like to have a drink with you, while we both wear matching hats.
I’m 27 and I’m already yelling at the clouds about it.
“On the other hand though, many people are out of touch with modern farming.”
There’s a difference between “it broke while harvesting and I need it back in service ASAP” and “it stopped while harvesting because the cabin air filter reached its service hours limit and an authorized service tech needs to come out and replace it with an OEM filter and reset the timer to get it working again.” And…
As I age, the shift of everything to a “you don’t actually own it, it’s a SUBSCRIPTION you pay forever” is turning out to be the first thing to make me full-on old man yells at clouds angry whenever it comes up in conversation. I guess it had to be something eventually, but it has been a surprise.
Yeah, but why does the tech have to be from Deere? Do you have a problem with autoparts stores with code readers?
The new systems literally will NOT recognize components, unless a John Deere Representative comes out and runs their recognition USB key to unlock the tractor.
This would be like if you needed to change the brakes on your car and could only go to the dealership, because the moment you removed the wheel, the engine…
There’s also the fact I average about 23 mpg combined in my 14 5.7l with a 6 speed, and thats almost a perfect 50/50 split of driving. I’m not killing it, but I don’t know how I can have the fun and enjoyment I have in anything else at that.
I thought this was an enthusiast website?
Calling the Challenger “wasteful”, while obvious, seems more like what you’d expect coming from a green/electric car website, particularly given that it’s no more “wasteful” than most performance cars. Do you have a fast food blog on the side where you mention in every post…
I live in the largest city in South Carolina. It has under 800,000 people. It is a series of land masses all connected with bridges. Lot of water everywhere.
car = I can get in and go wherever I want, whenever I want. I’m in control. I can talk to myself in peace, practicing arguments that I may have one day, or replaying things that I should have said. I can listen to whatever music I want to, or talk on my (hands free) phone without worry.
I’m always amazed by the binary thought process that seems prevalent today - If you’re “this”, you cannot be “that”.
To be honest, anything a Baby Boomer says to me is automatically suspect. You idiots spent 50 fucking years sucking off the system and giving nothing back. You've left us all with a hollowed out infrastructure and a flattened financial system. So thanks for that. Don't worry, though. Your kids will clean up your mess…
Precisely. Where do people get off saying they should have their student loans "forgiven". What you are saying with that is that you should have a free education and be free of the responsibility for the decisions you made.
