Arid land is essentially a desert — without assistance (irrigation) it’s ALREADY unusable. Having “arid” in the sentence above basically says “rendering once-unusable land unusable.”

So you just dismiss the whole statement then?
That’s what’s wrong with our world right now. If we disagree with a person in the slightest, we dismiss and discount EVERYTHING they say, even if we agree with the vast majority of it...
Is there a transcript of this video available???
For the price of these things and the various trade-offs, wouldn’t you be FAR BETTER OFF to simply buy a nice small netbook and a standard tablet???
I don’t understand the desire to have an all-in-one solution for everything when the all-in-one-solution is more expensive, more cumbersome, more space-consuming, and LESS…
No, they most certainly mean “arid”.
We’ve turned arid land into arable land via irrigation. If there is not enough water for irrigation, this land, which was once arid, will no longer be arable and will become “unusable” again.
What do you think the solution is? Do you even have any?
Do you want us to stop travelling? Stop shipping goods and resources from one place to another? Do you want us to give up our lives and freedoms?
This is absolutely political. There is no question about that. If it wasn’t political, do you think provisions from the Green New Deal would have been part of the discussion for the CARES Act???
You seem rational. I like you.
Which math do you think we disagree with?
The math that says that we lost more people to the flu in 2017 (and that’s AFTER vaccinations)?
The math that says that only 0.009% of our population has died from this disease while roughly 0.140% have died due to smoking?
You’d be mistaken. For instance, there is a push to do away with cattle... We also try to put out every single forest fire that ever occurs.
No, they’re correct - car’s aren’t in the future of a carbon-free world.
Oh, Jeez, this thing again? Give us a break...
I hope Amazon pulls all of their ads from this site; they’re fucking annoying anyway...
That’s easy to understand and explain.
- Exotic is who he is. He makes no excuses about it. He owns it.
- Antle is similar to Exotic, but more refined and nuanced.
- Lowe mostly denies and deflects, but owns-up when pressed.
- Baskin is in COMPLETE DENIAL and doubles-down on her “holiness” in everything. She repeatedly…
Are black people different than white people?
So, you’re a racist? You must be if you see having two standards for people based on their skin color as being acceptable.
I’m pretty certain that at some point, Kanye has said “You can’t hear me?!? Hey, ___?!?”
You’re a moron. It’s totally a double-standard. Things either are or are not something. There is no middle ground, no caveats, etc. These “gray areas” are the problems with our society these days that allow for exploitation and manipulation of people.
This seems like an over-reaction.
I get it, it’s an offensive word, but there are MUCH, MUCH WORSE THINGS.
Even if Larson is a racist mo-fo (and I don’t think he is), there are people out in this world right now that are doing far, far, far more damage to people. What are we doing about them? In many cases, we’re…
Duh.
