No; I’m not saying at all that it’s any kind of conspiracy. It’s simply the case that these sites are presenting a subset of the data and only a subset of the data. Not because that’s all they want to present, but because that’s all they have to present.

You know Glassdoor (and just about every other site like that) works based on unverified, user-submitted data, right? It’s like Yelp, TripAdvisor, or Amazon Reviews, but for jobs... It’s skewed data.

Are you guys really that dense? He’s saying that we can use convention weapons and unleash enough force to out-do anything we’ve done before. The nukes we’ve used are less powerful than some of conventional weapons, and we’ve got millions of conventional weapons that, when accounted for cumulatively, would far

Yes, yes; let’s just keep to ourselves and stay in our echo chambers. Everyone back to their sides! Know your places, everyone!

Precisely. Which is why there shouldn’t be these “partially-autonomous” things...

Cruise control is in no way comparable to a feature that steers for you. Period. Full stop.

No way - people would cut everything else before they cut driving or bought a super expensive new car just to save a few pennies. The math just doesn’t work...

2021 Viper?!?

How is that any different to how people view the climate and vaccines???

That’s going to vary widely based on the car and where the service is performed. If your car is somewhat common and you work on it yourself, none of those repairs will cost more than a couple hundred dollars. If you take it to a dealer, those same repairs on the same car could cost you thousands.

Here’s what I would

More directly to your point, who do you think you make money from?!?

I work in the Ag industry designing parts that make planters more efficient. We do quite a bit with soybeans. The issue with China is being overblown by the media.

You seem to favor California’s standards, but do you understand the precedent being set? If California can set their own standards, so could Florida, or Texas, or Oklahoma, or Tennessee, etc., etc...

My father just picked up a newish Garmin that has Nav, a Dash Cam, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and a bunch of other stuff. It’s better than a phone. I use Google Maps a lot, but I’d consider getting the Garmin myself for the other features alone - adding Nav to it is even better. Combine the Garmin

Where do you think those refineries get their oil? And the power plants to run the cities get their coal and natural gas? Where do you think the raw goods that get turned into your processed food come from? Where do you think your water comes from?

I’m not here to make friends or get my ego stroked, so I really don’t care. People often don’t like to hear what is right/true, especially if it makes them question their beliefs and actions. People on Jalopnik/Kinja “liking” posts means absolutely nothing in regards to the posts validity.

Resistance isn’t the issue. If the tech worked and actually was a benefit, I’d be all for it. But it doesn’t, and it won’t; anyone who understand how energy transfer and supply chains work know this to be so. The “Electrification is the future” mantra is all lies and propaganda that is being propped up by the American

Those “TINY FRACTIONS” support millions of others...
