I’m somewhat sympathetic to the notion that not all games need to be given deep examination with a harsh, political lens. Like, if its Super Mario Bros, yeah, you might be going a bit too far by comparing it to class warfare or something.

It’s only a “shockingly bold move for that part of the world” if you don’t know anything about the gender-equal Kurds and their robust use of women fighters and women-led brigades. We have no idea whether she’s “quite an extraordinary woman” or if this is just a society like the real-world one they very obviously drew

I fully realized this was a Call of Duty game when, after the mentioned London shootout, one of the main characters looked directly into the camera and said “if only our hands weren’t tied by politics, laws, or rules and could deal with these threats the way they need.

When you make a game that is trying to make a statement by having a suicide bombing as your first sequence, you make your reviews into this.

If it’s aiming for the realism of war, the part where you abandon the rebels to be ethnically cleansed should be interesting.

Fixed!

The mistake was not having all of the students say “I am free labor” and then ending with Barry Odom ($3.05 million) and Cuonzo Martin ($3 million) laughing...

It’s like something a late-night show would come up with to mock slightly more subtly racist promotional material.

I’m more of a Dreamworks guy. Is there an Antz equivalent?

Or “Future social media intern for the Trump administration”

I am black and this is one of the few things that is so racist wrong it made me chuckle. “ I am a brother” underneath “ I am a future doctor” holy shit, nobody proof read anything before this was sent out.

They should post another one that says: “I am a former social media account manager.”

Where do I find the black people in San Francisco? I’ve been several times but always for work, so I’m mostly in the downtown commercial areas. I’ve noticed with each trip there are fewer and fewer black people I encounter/see so curious what traditional neighborhood I can go to get a haircut next time I’m in town.

So? In Oregon you don’t have to. Try reading the fucking story first.

Being a cop is hard and dangerous, and it’s a very important role that society depends on. Which is why we have to let cops constantly fuck up, make terrible judgement calls and fail at even the basic parameters of their jobs with no consequences! Otherwise, something, something, crime wins.

Haha I’ve seen cops riot and get positive writeups in the paper for doing it.

So at my job I have key responsibilities, things my employer expects me to be able to do correctly. If I mess those up, I face disciplinary action. That could be a write-up, or retraining, or potentially even termination.

waaaaaaait a sec, is voting with one’s wallet working?
