I had a similar reaction to the continued use of the term "revenge porn." The idea that any image of a naked woman's body is pornographic just boggles the mind. How do we even start to unpack the layers of misogyny there? 

Since you can’t in good conscience wear it in public, why not turn your mother’s fur into pillows or a throw (unless it squicks you out.) The animals are already dead. You could just as well use the fur to feel cozy and warm in your own home without risking public censure or looking like a clueless asshole in public.

Possibly a gentler, more benign response might be “OK.” People who want to pray for you are just responding out of who they are. It doesn’t mean they are expecting you to adopt their belief systems, or trying to to evangelize you. You do you, and let them do....them.

I live in Maricopa County, and everyone I know here regards Arpaio as an abomination/horrible embarassment. True, AZ has its share of old racists, which is why he stayed in office so long. But they’re dying off, and AZ is now solidly purple (hoping to turn our state true blue in 2020.)
