To be fair to the show, it's a show where people dying who are close to the main characters makes sense. The first person do so, though, wasn't a woman but was Joan's boyfriend which ended up being a really interesting and unexpected emotional arc for her. Also, Irene Adler was dead and Sherlock was pining for her

That recap was actually amazing though. It actually brought a huge sense of understanding about what on earth it was that the gods were getting at. It finally became clear after that bit that he sees Fillory the way we see The Magicians. It's like he's created The Truman Show and as long as he keeps being able to

Lazano = Lazarus? Come on, writers! That's way too on the nose. Especially when you have an episode title that completely spells it out.

Molly Ringwald - the only Throwback Thursday this show has done that I actually understood.

I'm rewatching this season and I thought that this episode would contain the worst of it, but I forgot that the worst of it is in the next episode.

Small correction - The Black Fairy is just his grandmother. She's Rumple's mom and he's Rumple's son.

The writers haven't figured out how to write most of their main cast. It's depressing.

It was so cult-y and striking and weird. I loved it.

New rule, Rob: if there is a Season 4 (knock on wood because VMars got cancelled after season 3), NO MORE WHOLE YEAR WAITS IN BETWEEN SEASONS! This is excruciating. I just binged the whole show all over again to prepare myself to watch this episode because I had forgotten so much of what had happened.

    DARIA!!!

BUT, that's what also makes him so fun to watch. Like, I want to punch him in the face and then hatefuck him. Crass, but true.

This is literally the least surprising thing ever.

I'm rewatching iZombie and I'm so loving reading this seeing that Major is the weak link knowing where is character is headed. Oh, it's just SO brilliant in retrospect.

I was also late to this party. For some reason, I kept putting off watching this thing from my PVR and well, I don't even know if this episode was actually necessary. We didn't learn anything at all that couldn't introduced and better explained in 10 minutes at the start of the next season.

I really hope we haven't seen the last of Rip. He was so under-utilized in season 1 because it seemed like they didn't really write Rip as a character so much as a plot driver/exposition machine. Since they've let him be, we've seen him go through so much the season and deliver some amazingly fun and witty lines.

Anyone else laugh out loud (very loudly, indeed) after Maia's dad fell and delivered the line "ouch" perfectly?

Yeah, I think Justin Bartha is super attractive in this show but… 32?! Ha! Why even make that up?

So, given the number of opinions that have come up on the issue, I've done a bunch of research and come to the conclusion that - much like Ted Cruz being president (what does natural-born citizen mean?) - legal scholars are of varying opinions regarding what the spirit of the 22nd amendment means for various reasons

Ah! I just assumed he'd served 2 terms since it was implied that he was a popular president. Thanks for the correction.

So it's actually illegal to take any position lower than your previous one in the executive line of succession. So technically speaking, this is unconstitutional - a former president cannot serve as Secretary of State (though, a former HUD secretary would be able to become Secretary of Defense or State).
