Let’s be honest, this never happened.

Acid attacks freak me out so much, and while I know that I’m statistically more likely to be injured/killed by something much more mundane, I can’t help but feel that they are especially dangerous and that acid can MELT MY FACE OFF at any time. This world is nuts. I hope the students recover well.

Toxic internet hyperbole, everyone.
She’s been good in pretty much everything she does bar the X-Men films that aren’t First Class. Plus she’s not even 30 yet, she’s got a potentially long career ahead of her. Scarlett Johansson did about three good films out of the dozens she was in from 2004 to 2011, and I’d still call her a very good actress at her…
WTF is happening here people???? who the fuck created this little monster???
I agreed with Sway up until the “get away with it”, part. Americans have been exporting hip-hop around the world for 35 years. It’s impossible to do that and not expect the artistic method to be co-opted by other races and cultures as a vehicle for expression. Black Americans aren’t/can’t be the gatekeepers for…

Starred for Ja’mie, Australia’s TRUE greatest export!

I’ve been watching the 1971 movie a lot lately because my toddler loves it.
There was a Facebook group dedicated to the idea that Grandpa Joe is the real villain of the film. I find Jack Albertson so gd charming in the film that it’s a tough pill to swallow.
And frankly it’s unnerving to imagine how somebody who originally wrote the Oompa Loompas as he did would’ve written a black protagonist.
It is a personal experience, but it’s one that a lot of women are made to feel guilty about. It’s portrayed often as an elective procedure even when it’s done for valid medical reasons, but more than that, it’s seen as a failure to perform one of the most fundamental rites of womanhood without assistance. Which is all…
27 year old millennial here. I never felt so old until I went back to university-and realized the kids were speaking an entirely different dialect, and did not have the same concerns as I do. Which is fine, I was 20 once too.
Also, here’s a Women’s Studies 102 tip: if you’re blaming women for the patriarchy, you’re really not getting it.
You sound exactly like you just finished Women’s Studies 101.
