I’m frankly shocked by how many commenters are admitting to leaving their dogs in their cars. “It was only 60 or 70 degrees out” etc is a poor ass excuse for irresponsible behaviour. Vehicles get extremely hot within a short period of time even when it isn’t very warm outside. Sure is a lot of criticism for a law…

But it’s awful information. It’s upsetting, and I’m sorry. I just really hate when people think they’re being a good pet parent and then just fuck up on the obvious.

Some errands aren’t combine-able.

I worked in a Vet Hospital in California for three years and this shit is real. The worst day was when a guy came in with four pugs that he had shut in his backyard “for only half an hour”. They had no shade or water. Three of them were dead when they arrived, the other died pretty soon after.

I have this problem with my (formerly abused) dog. Most people are fine, but occasionally someone chooses not to understand that if he’s jumping back and jerking his head around to get away from your hands, that means he DOESN’T WANT YOU TO TOUCH HIM, asshole.

Teach them to not bark at dogs outside. It can be done.

Teach your dogs to not bark at cars.
