Everybody is aware of what he meant, which is why people are making fun of his statements. He’s claiming that his son has fucking PTSD because he sexually assaulted someone and got caught for it. It’s fucking ridiculous, infuriating, and completely lacking in any self-awareness. His father’s gross statements deserve

Oh, boo hoo. He was traumatized from raping someone. waaaaa! Fuck him and fuck you.

Oh for fuck’s sake. I wish I’d seen this garbage comment before I wasted my time writing a long response to you in another thread as if you were a reasonable person. Ugh.

PTSD for being tackled after being caught raping someone? PTSD because he was threatened in prison for being a rapist? PTSD for getting off with an extremely light sentence that the judge never should have given?

Those cyclists gave him quite the jitters, I tell you what.

What caused his PTSD, pray tell? Being held responsible for his actions?

Yes, my heart breaks for the PTSD suffered by the rapist who got caught, convicted, and was punished with a slap on the wrist.

Feel free to dismiss the rape apologist if you’d like!

Not “had sex with an unconscious woman behind a dumpster”, he “RAPED an unconscious woman behind a dumpster”.

As long as the protestors don’t resort to violent action or harass his family and friends, I think this is an appropriate form of expressing anger about an obvious injustice. In lieu of a prison sentence, Turner will have to endure this humiliating protest and live with the shame forever, even if the actual

I blacked out this comment because I’m on the same page as you and I hope you get some responses. If we have unlimited illegal immigrantion then why have borders at all? Why should any country have borders? If there were no borders how would you define what a sovereign country? Would this go on indefinitely then and

How hard is “don’t have sex with children?”

A 20 year old screwing 14 year olds is a predator, and the public should be aware of it.

Once he starts opening classmate discussions with “My Mommy says...” no one will even notice the haircut.

As someone who has been abused as a child, I totally have to disagree with this. I don’t think the problem is in the punishments; it’s in the charge. Some people should not be convicted as sex offenders in the first place (i.e. 18-year-old guy above who had consensual sex with his 14-year-old girlfriend, or guy who

I guess a punishment that is essentially lifelong is harsh. But it’s fucking creepy, gross, and totally wrong for a 20 year-old to have sex with a 14 year-old. That should absolutely be a crime.

The odds are high this kid will implode. I saw a lot of my early-identified “gifted and talented” friends do so over the years. It’s never pretty.

I think there have been at least a handful of studies documenting these kind of students and how poorly adjusted and out of touch with their peer group they tend to be, and the extent to which their social and emotional development is stunted. I’m sure every parent would love to say their 12 year old is an Ivy

I have taught middle school for 15 years. Stories like this make me angry. I don't give a shit if he's academically ready for college. He isn't ready for college in far more ways that actually matter.

This stuff kind of weirds me out. Education has a big “develop socially with people who are more or less your social peers” component, and, at least based on this story... I guess I wonder where this kids gets to hang out with people his age.
