When you see someone look into that oven and see their cake/pie in a sad shape, the look of sadness on their face is so genuine. I watch Masterchef too but they try to ramp up the anguish too fucking much.

I’m not surprised. I watch this show because it’s soothes me, the countryside shots...the calming voices...the sweets. It’s like the equivalent of a white noise generator.
My mom got me hooked on that show. It is the SHIT. Between the dessert porn and the hosts, I love it. And I find the overall tone of the show really refreshing - there is zero personality-based drama, no yelling and no tantrums, unlike on American reality TV.
I spent a sick day binge watching this on Netflix and ended up loving it way more than I thought I would. I already have kind of a soft spot for cooking/baking shows but this show is much more charming and waaaaaay less cheesy than its American counterparts.
