Here’s my thoughts on trailer and preview fakery: I’m okay with trailer bullshit like that if has two purposes:

I’ve been saying the same thing about Spec Ops: The Line since it came out, and most people still think that game is above reproach. Forcing the player to do something bad to progress then wagging your finger at them for doing it was trash back then and it’s trash still now.

Why would the PLAYERS, myself included, want to feel that way? In the beginning of a tale, you make a sort of promise to the reader. You might say “I will give you a story about a kid leaving the moisture farm to become a Jedi”. And you do this by setting tone and developing themes through character interactions. You

Ceorrect, that’s all I’m proposing, it wont always be BLM that you MUST salute, all it takes is a little imagination to see how far things can go. Hint, we’ve seen it in history already.

Aerith died for our sins

But why does such an obvious stance like “I care for others” have to be declared in a statement? Isn’t this the default assumption? If any stance needed stating, shouldn’t it be “I’m a PoS who doesn’t care for others”?

Good to see y'all are still cancel culture assholes at Kotaku.

No one has to bow down to an ideaology. BLM is many different things and it’s fair to not agree with some ideas they adopt. BLM are well within their right to do their thing, but the idea that everyone must just bend the knee to a movement or they’re ostracized is terrifying, and if you dont think so then you might

That’s a really dumb straw man of my position. You can’t get people invested in a main character for one and a half games, then kill them in the second half of the second game and have you PLAY as the killer. Nobody would like that. Why would we be invested in the series if you’re just going to casually kill off the

I cancelled my pre-order after I read the Kotaku and Polygon reviews. They confirmed for me that the leaks were true (which was already obvious of course) and that “context” was only going to make the over the top brutality even more pointless. Thank you guys for actually taking a critical look at the game.

See... that’s the kinda shit that screws children up. Why are some people so cruel? I’m a white guy and I hated all these white people who would say “I’m Irish American” or “I’m German American”... what are you? None of them or their parents spoke the language, if your friend’s family was from Ireland, you could tell.

I’m from Knoxville and while it’s definitely not at all what it was like when I was growing up, UT keep it more even keeled racially than basically anywhere in a 20 mile radius of Knoxville.

What exactly are you hoping for here? The dude expressed an unpopular opinion on a public platform as a private citizen and has become the focus of a PR shitstorm that resulted in him resigning, with the possibility of him being fired if he didn’t quit first. While his post was in poor taste, I think that’s about

Agree with the others. Please don't start exclusively doing videos.  We all enjoy reading over here

I’ve been making my way through the series after my wife refused to keep watching it. I’m about half-way through now.

Yeah, killing off a character because the actor left the show IS NOT a “killing the gays” troupe.

I came from the reality where there were 3 video games.

What if I told you ... that there were two sequels and a video game?

Personally, I think that both sequels are underrated. They’re not nearly as good as movies as the first one, but I do think that they have more interesting ideas. And I feel like if there was a special edition that made the dodgy even for the time special effects in 2 & 3 look better they’d be ripe for reevaluation.
