During the last recession, there were a lot of stories in the papers about people who were hit hard. The story that I most remember was some guy who was leasing a Lexus for $1k a month, then lost his job and lost both the car and his apartment within a few months.

Simple, the lower class that think they are middle class are leaseing, others are over stretched on their payments.

Those that are middle class can afford a $70k car.

“how it’s possible that I see so many brand new trucks and SUVs driving around.”

Not surprised about first gear. Between rent, student loans, rising taxes, and the cost of every thing else, who can afford a $25k-$30k brand new car? Even a nice used car is stretching it in my experience.

Has it? Or perhaps you're just so used to it. There are extremely complicated games out there that I've had to watch YouTube videos and read wikis on how to play and I still dont understand.

It actually hasn’t. I feel like gaming has the same complexity as it had in the 90s, at least to some degree. We’ll use my dad as an example.

One thing I don’t like about their service is how first party titles are removed  or rotated. Unlike Microsoft’s approach where you get to access all the first party titles, all the time and the library keeps on growing.

This is such a shame because Focus Home Interactive have released some of my favorite games these past years. Downloading Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishments right now so I can still access it without a physical copy. Thankfully Devil’s Daughter was published by Bigben Interactive so that is still available.

If I was his son, don’t think I wouldn’t hand-make a “Happy Fodder’s Day” card next June.

Have to say that I clicked on the article with the same expectations.
That is, a study of video game porn, and maybe some little comment and what can be improved, but found nothing but minors having virtual sex.

Now that you mention college tuition and their desire for young people to study, wouldn’t it make sense for the junior competitors to receive their prize money in the form of scholarship money?

Well there are a couple of general things they could do, no focus groups needed. First, they could do all their text with a black outline around individual letters. No matter what color the actual text is (normally white but could be different colors for different characters), putting a black outline around the

Bullshit. It isn’t stealing at all. It’s infringement on copyright, which is a totally different crime. The natural human right to share things with people supersedes the legally constructed “right” for companies to benefit financially from works over time

One day, you’ll realize that many issues, including this one, aren't as black & white like how you're making it out to be.

Making available creative works that can be transmitted with lossless transfer is not stealing in the traditional sense, first.

This is such an asinine opinion because we’re only able to play some old games thanks to piracy. I’m not endorsing a website proudly offering roms. But this only benefits the corporation, not the artist. Or the preservation of games.

It’s not stealing if the product isn’t being sold or otherwise distributed. If I want to play Mother 3 in English—or for that matter, Toby Fox’s The Halloween Hack, which requires a ROM of Earthbound to play—I have literally no choice but to rely on piracy. Both of those games are hugely influential works of art that
