I was walking to my seat at Camden Yards, hat on, toddler and diaper bag in hands and the anthem started playing. Before I could let out a groan, this old Fox News patriot hag immediately smacked me on the back of the head and told me how offended she was that I wouldn’t remove my hat. She then proceeded to tell me

If we HAVE to stand for a specific song, and HAVE to put our hands on our hearts or risk getting jacked are we really free?

it would absolutely whip ass if this guy was eaten alive by a bear or something

With Johnson and Statham’s bald heads, the movie is much more enjoyable if you pretend that Idris’ super soldier is fighting two genetically-modified, sentient testicles.

This is almost certainly the case.  When you’re dealing with a company that is at least partially owned by the governing body of a nation whose leadership rejects objective reality to such a degree that they punish people for talking about/displaying it, you end up with Winnie the Fucking Pooh.

To compensate, he should get a Winnie the Pooh patch.

If you are making $134K a year, then you’re in the upper echelons of society, so stop thinking you are “the norm” and stop applying your experience to everyone else.

Sounds like a nice bubble you’re living in; it'd be a shame if somebody popped it with their pitchfork (or, more likely, desperation)

He also wanted to dissolve the authoritarian government and allow the people to make their own way in life to chose their own destinies instead of being controlled by either corporation or government. If anything what Megatron was taking about was social anarchy.

Greed is the issue.

Dunno why capitalism is to blame, that’s such an abstract notion. At the end of the day there’s real people and things which drive all of this is some complex system (which we are all a part of). While our economic philosophy has a part, it’s probably not the most relevant thing to point out.

Honestly, if you’re opening with “capitalism is destroying Earth”, “game companies are mean” feels a bit like a non-sequitur.

my my, that was dramatic

Look, she definitely tossed that cat a bit rougher than I would have but if you’ve ever owned a cat, you know it was just fine.

overcoming that cornerstone of the game by cheating, and then feeling fine about it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to anyone with a modicum of self worth, and/or integrity.

To insinuate that a person has no self-worth or integrity because they choose to cheat in a single player video game is ridiculous.  The entire point of video games is to relax and entertain yourself, and if someone has played a game and accomplished this then they are doing it right.  Personally I’d argue that

No. No he is not right.

We in Georgia already have a law where phones cannot be used except for hands-free applications. I know people who were pulled over for using their phone for not even two seconds.

Maybe instead of being thrown into Twitch Jail, people who stream and drive need to be thrown into Real Jail?
