I honestly had connection to the story going in so the Adult Shazam family was a pleasant surprise. The actress playing Darla’s adult counterpart was brilliant. She was spot on with the precociousness of the younger Darla. Stole a chunk of the final act.
I loved the movie. I’ve been excited for it ever since it was announced and they nailed it so. Freaking. Hard. I was not expecting the other kids to get powers but my eyes teared up when they did because it was so amazing! I kinda wish adult Mary had gotten to do more but overall wonderful.
FUCKING PRECIOUS BUTTERCUP DARLA.
My Steam library is damn near 500 titles, and the thought does cross my mind that one it could all just be gone does cross my mind every once in a while. While that is a valid concern, it’s not really one I believe we have to worry about in any real capacity.
Steam isn’t going anywhere any time soon. They could close…
WAHHHHHH EXCLUSIVITY IS BULLSHIT
With 10+ years of experience in one of the big name studios myself, I can relate on all the issues in the previous article. Bioware is not alone, bad management, burnout, stress and anxiety is real. Thank you, Jason, for bringing this up to the public - sadly it’s something that needs more attention.
LMFAO! You’ve been Kinja’d.
Get fucked.
You know it’s funny to hear people say this to people with chronic pain especially when disabled people tend to be bedridden and things like video games are the only things that keep them from putting a bullet in their brain (I would know). I mean all you have to do is read any of Mike Fahey’s articles about how…
Fuck you. If a blind person wants to read a book, we make an audio book for them to listen to. If a one-legged person wants to do sports, we prepare a special court where they can perform without feeling inferior to other people. But we do NOT tell them not to do whatever it is they wish to do because of their…
We can talk about difficult as an aesthetic choice all we want and I’m down for that discussion (failure and death are big things for FromSoft games) but easy is relative and I place my trust in designers to build these modes such that the particularities they want to stress still exist.. If combat cadence is a design…
It’s not okay, man. It’s in fact basically illegal in the US in most other scenarios. If someone shows up to GameStop to buy Sekiro and she can’t get in because there’s a big broken sidewalk tile in front of the door, she can literally sue them, because she has a right to get inside. Maybe it’s not fair to GameStop -…
ITS A SINGLEPLAYER GAME! what do you lose if the game have an Easy mode? you can still brag and say that you beat the game on the hardest difficulty...
Hi,
Not to be overly harsh, but if a game is causing you physical pain every time you play it, maybe it’s time to find something else.
To defend Tyjaer — I understand. The issue would be ‘name one game that is NOT from FromSoft that has produced anywhere near the same level of frustration.’ Off the top of my head I’d say ‘Alien Trilogy’ on PS1.
Add an easy mode and he won’t have to settle for watching someone else have fun, friendo. And the good news is that you don’t lose anything in the process either.
That *is* harsh though because you’re all but asking players with disabilities to go elsewhere. In this example, an easy mode or even a series of toggles that allow players to customize game experiences is about allowing them to participate in that experience. It’s inclusive, and not in the dime-store way that word is…
So your suggestion to people with disabilities or chronic illnesses is that they just shouldn’t play games? Because right now you’re coming across as someone with working legs complaining that ramps exist. The ramps aren’t for you, they’re for people who can’t walk.
