But that’s the part that bored me. With other turn based RPG’s there’s SOME variety. Yes there’s often the grind but it’s not always so... consistently similar.

Nope - I’ve played lots of turn based games. I just found this one extremely repetitious and tedious. And trust me, I’ve played FF10 over 100 hours. I can handle doing a grind - but this was... boring.

I know. I was replying more to the guy who started this thread. Yes sometimes those senior facilities ARE warehouses for the abandoned and derelict. Some of those, however, are left alone because of their own choices.
