The Ford Mustang isn’t actually that much more expensive: base price for the Mustang is 38,000 € with the 317 PS EcoBoost engine (the V6 is not available in Germany), while it used to be 36,825 € for the 2016 Scirocco R (38,750 € with DSG gearbox).

Both the Opel and Vauxhall were available with the 200 hp Ecotec turbo engine. You’re probably thinking of the VXR 220, which had a tuned 220 hp version. But from (one-time, sadly) experience I can tell you 200 hp are quite enough to give you a biiiig grin :o)
