An epidemic of abusing asylum requests to fascilitate economic migration is reason enough to pull out of those treaties long enough to reform them.  There is no such thing as poverty asylum and walking through 2 or 3 countries to get to the wealthy one is a bad look.

I think the gameplan would be 14th amendment reform to only allow citizenship to a person born in america of at least one legal resident parent, and decreasing welfare to increase black and brown infant mortality rates would be do-able and even legal. Worst case scenerio, civil war and serbia-style ethnic cleansing.

Asylum hearings take years and almost all are denied. They know they can live in america and send money back for those few years, with the off chance that you hit that lottery and get to stay. Thats abuse of a system intended to help people in real danger, not genuine need. There is no human right to live in america.
