There is “Say a bad thing” and “Intimidate them out of their opinions or positions”. “Get in their face, make them not feel like they can be anywhere” isnt giving feedback to a representative, it isnt protest, its intimidation and terrorism and you shouldnt be surprised that this whole thing has now escalated

The guy doing the bombing very probably sees you as an aggressor and that he is only defending himself. Both-sides-ism isnt a ‘dont make waves” lazy movement, its pragmatic realism and understanding that you can use your own situation to empathize with others.  Or you can get bombed and shot.  Your call.
