OH MY GOD THERE IS SO MUCH BAD FICTION ON KINDLE UNLIMITED. Like, I just read a 6 book series with the most Mary Sue characters I’ve ever read. THEY MADE WESLEY CRUSHER LOOK LIKE A REGULAR CHARACTER.

I don’t know about all THAT but there’s a decent set of books called The Parthian trilogy that takes place in the time of Spartacus. Takes place in the Middle East, for the most part. I’m not being sarcastic or snarky or even remotely funny, I genuinely pay little to no attention to the author.
