Many years ago I worked in a restaurant in a major city. We always took loads of leftover food to the homeless down the street. Just said hello, handed it over, walked away. They didn’t want to talk to us and while we probably would have loved to have talked to them we got it. I have no idea company policy at that…

I’d like to think I’d show up, dance with all these wonderful people I helped and generally saw it as a big fuck you to the dude who got cold feet FIVE DAYS before the wedding. Even if she cried and was sad I’d bet anything all those people she fed would have lifted her spirits.
