In short, the ACA is like the worst aspects of private and public run health systems crammed into one package. I’ve never supported writing the primary drivers of health care cost inflation into the law as a necessary middle man. It was just dumb.

The ACA is, at its core, a massive give-away to health insurance companies, in that the ACA sets the boundaries of the healthcare conversation such that anyone who wants care must situate themselves within those boundaries, and those boundaries are determined by private companies.
