This! I generally close a damp paper towel in the iron for a few seconds when I’m done to steam off the plates and then use tongs to grab the towel and wipe it down while it’s still hot.

I got calls for years when I first got my current number for a woman who had a baby. The calls were all reminders about follow up appointments and vaccinations, and then eventually debt collectors for the same hospital. I often wondered what her life was like.

It’s not so much the direct copy that’s the problem as is the direct copy without permission or credit. That’s why it’s OK when Disney traces itself - they own the work.

When I used to teach, I’d end each section with something like “Is there anything I should go over again or anything you’d like to know more about?” Asking a more specific question seemed to get better responses.

I lived alone for awhile and now I live with my husband and sister in law. And it’s great. 3 incomes makes everything more affordable, and we all get along. She has her own space, my husband and I have ours. And while there’s some compromise (like being quiet in the evening when someone has an early shift) I’d say

On the other hand, it’s not the suffering Olympics, so yeah. That sucks and I’m sorry.

Last year a round of antibiotics destroyed my gut bacteria, and I suddenly found myself unable to digest dairy and a few other trigger foods, or face the wrath of IBS like symptoms. Fortunately after an intense year and a half of very careful strategic reintroduction and regular probiotics, I regained the ability to

This. I once backed a really cool phone charger and by the time I received it, I had updated my phone (to one with usb C) and couldn’t use it anymore. But it made a really nice Christmas gift for someone else with an older device, so it wasn’t bad, per se, just strange.

Japanese schools also include their students in much more than classroom learning throughout the day: making and serving their own lunches, and cleaning up the kitchen and classrooms are regular parts of their school day.

The “It’s Alive” on location tv episodes didn’t have as much of the bombastic editing... but the rest on the channel still do. I was worried that the editing was toned down forever, but it’s not! Vinny was the camera guy early on, but from what I understand, Matt does the great editing.

being a thirty-something into YouTube by explaining that watching these happy people make a living doing what they love is either a source of much-needed joy or distraction from the depressing headlines”

Yes, I was lucky to travel a lot as a kid. It’s an opportunity I definitely don’t have now, so I’m grateful for the memories.

Might have been Disneyland. My grandparents (who raised me) decided to take each of their grandkids to Disneyland or Disney World, so I was lucky enough to go to both a lot as a kid and don’t really remember which was which very well. I was pretty young when I first went on Space Mountain. My grandpa convinced me it

Back in the 90's there was definitely side-by-side seats on space mountain. I rode it sitting next to my grandfather.

At both 6am and 6pm, the sun should be noticeably in the East (sunrise) or West (sunset) and so the line from 3 to 9 is aligned with North-South, so you should always be able to tell which is which from that.

So the “foolproof guide” is just... unless it’s the most simple of mazes, you’re doomed to be lost and also buy this game?

Being in a relationship where both people are toxic to each other isn’t really BETTER...

Like being angry for weeks after seeing a specific car or haircut. Seems pretty clear to me he needs anger management more than he needs a girlfriend if that’s the case.

Drawful and murder party are my faves. I was surprised to see drawful not mentioned yet.

Related fun fact for having a TV for a monitor: the Chrome browser doesn’t do native 4K in Netflix very well. The streams are often downsampled and play stuttering. Using the Windows App for Netflix (or Netflix app built into a 4K smart TV) gives a much better experience.
