The “It’s Alive” on location tv episodes didn’t have as much of the bombastic editing... but the rest on the channel still do. I was worried that the editing was toned down forever, but it’s not! Vinny was the camera guy early on, but from what I understand, Matt does the great editing.

At both 6am and 6pm, the sun should be noticeably in the East (sunrise) or West (sunset) and so the line from 3 to 9 is aligned with North-South, so you should always be able to tell which is which from that.

Related fun fact for having a TV for a monitor: the Chrome browser doesn’t do native 4K in Netflix very well. The streams are often downsampled and play stuttering. Using the Windows App for Netflix (or Netflix app built into a 4K smart TV) gives a much better experience.

HDMI 2.1, 2.0, and 1.0 definitely make a difference. I had to buy a better cable than the default one that came in the box for 4K picture and sound.

I use a 4K TV for my main home computer monitor. It’s great for gaming and programming (my two main uses). I also have pretty poor eyesight, so when I don’t have my contacts in, the giant screen is ample real estate to zoom right the heck in to get very large print.
