Claw shaped brushes, like this Oster ShedMonster work really well for long haired cats with a dense undercoat. I use it alongside a more traditional wire brush (which is enough for my short haired cats) because it does such a nice job getting those undercoat hairs that will inevitably turn into hairballs if I don’t

I read tons as a kid. I can see the point in saying that checking books off a list marathon style doesn’t really foster a love of reading. It feels like a chore when you have to read certain books and try for quantity over quality.

I’ve had bedbugs and I still buy stuff at thrift stores. No fabric upholstery, for sure. But tables and stuff? Sure. I give them a good wipe down first, outside.

Those worn out sneakers are great for making costumes. You can paint/glitter/glue/sew them with abandon and then you don’t feel bad about tossing them after an event.

Personally, I thought escaping the lava in the Aladdin game was much harder than anything in the Lion King game but neither are what I’d describe as “fun for children” when you’re 7 and trying it for the hundredth time.

This looks like an Iron Man / Dark Wing Duck crossover, and I like it.

I’m only trying to say that if WalMart was serious in taking a stand against gun violence, they shouldn’t start with video game signs. All they care about is profit with a little good PR icing.

Or brave enough to remove the guns themselves.

I agree with you. I like knowing how severe my friends and family have reactions to things only so I know if I can make the offending dish for other people at the table or if I need to be extra careful to sanitize the kitchen and not have the offending foods anywhere open in the house. Plus, most of my lactose

I had a round of antibiotics completely destroy my gut bacteria and spent the last year and a half VERY intolerant to dairy, beans, garlic and onions, and other FODMAP foods. I’ve gotten those intolerances under control through careful diet changes, enzymes and probiotics, but I do not take anyone’s food preferences

I have a friend who is deathly allergic to pineapple, mildly allergic to fish, and also lactose intolerant. She will happily eat pizza (but not Hawaiian), is fine eating food that was cooked in the same kitchen with and served separately to fish, and we check ingredient lists carefully for pineapple juice. The point

In high school and college, I lived in an area with good public transportation. Now I carpool with my husband to work, so the 10-15 minute commute isn’t an issue. It is annoying having to ask him for rides outside of work, though, but at least things like Uber and Lyft exist.

I don’t know how to drive.

One thing that helped me to learn to swallow pills when I was a kid: After putting the pill in your mouth with some water, if it’s a hard pressed pill, look up and swallow. If it’s a capsule, look down. The reasoning is that the capsule floats on the water while the hard pill sinks, so you’re holding your head in the

I have the same problem for the opposite reason. I started typing when I was little (we had our first family computer when I was 5) and my hands were too small for the home row, so I learned to hunt and peck. In school, when we got to typing classes in 4th grade, I had already well ingrained the bad hunt and peck

Related - best fish taco I ever had was in Hawaii, but a locals part of town, from a shack that was 50% ice fish storage and 50% kitchen with a walk up counter. You could buy whole fish (catch of the day) or fish tacos, and that was it. Delicious.

I once spent 14 hours stranded in the Portland Airport, and I can confirm, excellent food and drink.

I was thinking of Horizon Zero Dawn, where hitting the right spot on a machine was VERY satisfying. Technically difficult, big damage, big reward, and not a headshot or taking a life. There were points in that game where I was sad that I needed to take out a camp of humans because it wasn’t as much fun. The humans

Deus Ex (the later ones anyway) has a play route where you can choose to be non lethal with tranq guns.

Subnautica has guns that don’t kill. Specifically, the propulsion and repulsion canons and stasis rifle. If you want to kill something, you have to throw things at it or hit it with your little survival knife. The developers have said they didn’t want to include traditional guns because they didn’t want the player’s
