You’ve hit upon the crux of the fandom for the movie, I think. the movies were not particularly faithful to the comics, and Hellboy did have some petulant teenager vibes from time to time. Not to mention a completely shoe-horned in love-interest in Liz. Dispite that, the movies were very fun, and Perlman shines…

The two perfect castings in that show were Andrew Robinson as Garak, and Avery Brooks as Sisko. Their dynamic in this scene is the best in the series:
Brooks was just the right amount of unhinged maniac weirdo to play a calm reserved Captain with the fire of a thousand suns when necessary.
