At this speed, does this mean we’ll get a RE4 remake in 2020?  XD

Will the game manage to faithfully recreate the stand-still traffic and shouted expletives of the real-life counterpart?

I mean, if the complaint about Melee is that the community is not to your personal liking, then that’s perfectly legitimate. Melee has its fair share of resident assholes and loud-mouthed instigators—but this is literally true of every video game community.

With the caveat that I don’t plan on having children (my girlfriend agrees with this), I’ll say this—there sure as heck isn’t going to be any first-person shooter or battle royale nonsense in my house.

It felt no different than any other major translation from a videogame studio. Basically, it was good enough that I forgot it was a fan translation.

Watching this makes me realize how much I miss this game.  Sigh, it was so good.

I stopped after Season 2.  Can I just hop into this season without playing any of the intervening episodes?  From what I recall, Season 3 was largely Clementine-less and focused on another guy.

I mean, wobbling isn’t very fun for the person getting wobbled. And in terms of sheer effort in terms of return, you get a lot of mileage out of it compared to comparable difficult infinites like drillshines, or situational ones like jablock infinites.

I saw the multishines, and I was like oh snap, this guy actually knows Melee, haha.

It’s certainly a fortuitous turn of events for Leffen. A while back, this was they guy talking smack left and right, grooming his image as a villain and Godslayer, intent on bringing down the established order of Melee rankings out of (what seemed like) sheer childish petulance.

Well, ice cream makes you fat, and orgasms make you. . .uh. . .go straight to hell? O_o

“Why is Electro letting everyone out?”

So, not that I want to denigrate your opinion at all, but you’re bringing up multiple points here that should probably be addressed, especially if we want to be rational about Smash:

I think the definition of the word “fun” tends to vary between different types of people. To you, it seems like everyone having a chance to win and having a level playing field regardless of skill is what makes a game “fun.”

I think there’s definitely room for both.

Every time a new Smash game comes out, I always wonder how closely they’ll hew to the mechanics and overall feel of Melee. It’s interesting to see how the lightning in a bottle design of Melee was kind of dropped by the wayside in favor of a completely different mechanical aesthetic for Brawl and Smash 4.

I recently read Eleanor and Park. It’s fairly decent for your run-of-the-mill teen romance/coming of age plot. Certainly better than much of the other dreck out there.
