Okay, so serious theological discussion time (for those that are actually interested, and/or care):

This presupposes, of course, that we have a significant other to game with. *walks away sadly*

I love LoK, but it’s definitely a flawed show, especially compared to how masterful ATLA is.

It’s a matter of perspective, I think. Franchises like SF have the virtue of a company that designs fighter games for fighter game aficionados. So while successive iterations are vastly different, you end up with a serviceable product whose changes encourage metagame shifts and player diversity in tournaments.

Er. Like, at a competitive level? Or do you mean you just picked up both without any foreknowledge one day and did some straightforward A/B testing?

I’d highly recommend this. Cooking is a generally uncommon but highly appreciated skill that will win you massive points regardless of where you are.

I’m not a fan of ecchi stuff in general, but Food Wars is utterly fantastic in managing to relay actual cooking information in an informative way. I cook as a hobby, and I’m constantly shocked at how accurate the show is sometimes. Clearly the mangaka did their research; I feel at times that the show manages to border

It’s two sides of the same equation.

Having been a resident of Wisconsin for the past 6 years or so, I’m not surprised by this news at all.

Bullying doesn’t “make you who you are today;”

Yeah. . .while I do agree that it’s easy to go to the opposite end of the spectrum and be far too concerned about people’s feelings and political correctness, it’s kind of hard to do that with League.

Hrm. If you’re going to compare it to Gotham Central, why not compare this Punisher to Greg Rucka’s Punisher—who also actually wrote 1/2 of Gotham Central?

Yeah, that’s pretty much the problem—MoS never really let Clark grow out of that initial self-loathing and fear and paranoia. The comic starts off the same way, but the end result is very different.

I know nothing about this game, but I’m tempted to buy it just because the response from the publisher was fantastic.

Wait—correct if I’m wrong, I know absolutely nothing about sports and American football. But if I’m reading this correctly, this player was dismissed from the team, and his foot participation prematurely ended. . .because he took the other team’s ball as a souvenir?

I’m still waiting for Sami from Advance Wars.

“Rivals of Aether feels like a solid foundation for a more competitive-focused Smash-style game.”

I disagree vehemently, mostly because in every single consumable medium, one of the biggest rules is to actually provide a sufficient reason for the audience to continue consuming your work—i.e. provide a hook. That’s true with movie, books, comics, heck—even white papers written to executives.

Just here to mention that the greatest comic rendition of a superhero being “outed” is probably the Bendis/Maleev run on Daredevil. One of the most compelling comic arcs ever written.

I think in certain respects you’re both right and wrong.
