Same (I was in the show in high school), but I allowed it.

I don't think it's Rob Thomas' style to kill off Bozzio. I think the writers know there's a difference between killing off a loved one for someone like Liv or Ravi, and killing off a loved on for someone like Clive who, despite being a series regular, serves more of a narrative function than exists as his own

His wheels were turning when zombies got mentioned. I'd like to see Clive get what's going on, but I don't necessarily need him in the morgue having full-on zombie conversations.

I don't really feel like killing Bozzio is Rob Thomas' style (more a Joss Whedon thing) but I could be way wrong on that. I presumed she would finish it out solving whatever aspect of the big mystery she was assigned to, then having to leave. Clive would be torn briefly but choose to stay, Bozzio would pop back in

I think Lowell gave Liv quite a bit to understand her new self, so I think he gets some big points for that. Drake doesn't necessarily click for me, but that's not really a bad thing.

Clive's wheels seemed to be turning when zombies got mentioned as well, but the best part of the taco bit was Bozzio's dive to switch them. MVP move right there.

Bozzio is a great supporting character. One day I suppose they'll have to write her out (only to pop up for a guest appearance now and then), but she'll be missed. She has a lot of great individual characteristics but also gives Clive someone to bounce off of out of the core group.

I'm not sure if the show is interested in creating a Liv/Bozzio rivalry, but Bozzio's been relatively ancillary so far, only investigating one aspect of the total mystery. Now that she's nabbed the Chaos Killer, she's about to get looped in on the big picture I hope.

Upvoted for monkey's paw reference. Perfect analogy here.

That is classic her!

Yeah if Guggenheim is to be believed, then Laurel is officially dead and not coming back (in the traditional sense). If that's the case, then they did a terrible job making that clear on the show itself.

I agree. And I absolutely will give this show props for so many great (or at least strong) female characters. I feel like the writing has gotten worse, but at least they've got kick ass diversity.

Ok, let's unpack. Arrow either did a great job setting up the faking of Laurel's death, or they did a terrible job giving her an unambiguous farewell. Or, they did a terrible job because they have set up a cliched and obvious fake death, or they have done a great job eliminating a character who narratively has been

Yeah I was shouting "Watch out for Jack Ruby!" when they were dragging him out. But if there was no conspiracy, as the show posits, then Ruby was just a guy who was angry at the guy who killed Kennedy. Almost (allegedly) killing the President must not have been enough to push Ruby's buttons.

Niagara Falls.

It might not be expressly against AV Club rules, but the majority of commenters are classy enough not to insult other commenters, and they look down upon those who do.

It was probably some young punk assassin, trying to pay his way through DJ school.

It's the only job a degree will get you these days.

Between that and their DJs, they should host EDC next.
