I always thought the HP series was undermined by the sheer normality of living in a magical world. They still had to get dead end jobs after all. If it weren't for Voldemort life would have been pretty bleak.

Yeah I don't have any animosity to the character necessarily, but the idea that he knows what kind of relationship they should have (and she's conflicted) feels like a power dynamic that's out of date.
