I do the exact opposite; I stand up as soon as the plane takes off

So this whole crowd already knows what this car should be, compared to what it is. Dumping the manual and farming everything out to BMW sure makes business sense, but gearheads aren’t swayed by Toyota’s business sense. And gearheads are the only ones who would’ve bought this car anyway. The normies will get a C8 or a

It has two main problems.

I think the problem here is that you can’t actually market this thing to people who don’t know about cars. There’s no wool-pulling. It’s not like the Urus (I finally have an excuse to drive a Lambo!) or some heritage-laden tweedmobile (Careful with the Jag, darling).

Lots of car names became famous to normies for

Kia: Behold the Stinger, attractive, high performance car at a good price!

listen: I could not all-caps every insane term. I didn’t even include California Formal.

I would have put the all-caps on “wedding casual.” What the actual hell. The term negates itself.

If more people had actually driven it instead of the Explorer they might have found they liked them, they drove very car like, no tippy feeling in corners, had a decent ride even on the 20" wheels, and it was about the most practical vehicle outside a true minivan there was.

No, you still need to show your ID at security with Precheck.

I did the math a while back and IIRC if I were to charge something like a Nissan Leaf in my garage using standard rates, electricity to go X miles per year would cost about 50% what gasoline would. If you charge at home only at night, your utility company might offer a discounted rate per kWh. If you charge “on the

“A lot of them pull up and get upset,” Doley tells the outlet.

Yeah, but you gotta figure that the folks who are attending a World Series game are reasonably affluent, especially in the suite sections where Trump was. And as they announced the death of the ISIS leader that morning (with Trump personally performing the five finger exploding heart technique on the guy), maybe he

If it’s not one thing it’s another

I was on a 17 hour flight to South Africa and it was surprisingly OK.  I think people behave better because they all know, at some level, that we’re all in it together.  If people act well the rest falls into place.

god fucking damnit

Anyone who takes a baby on that flight should expect child protection services waiting for them on the other end.

There’s a “Don’t recline your seat” crowd? What’s that all about?

Electrification of airliners is probably going to work in the opposite direction: burn dinosaurs for take-off and climb, then use batteries and/or internal generator for cruise power since the power demands are so much less.

Or better yet- that part of air travel should be powered by ground-based devices. I had proposed (half in jest) that we use a humongous Acme brand rubber brand, to shoot airplanes into the sky. And when airplanes land, they fly right into these giant rubber bands, and stretch them back , ready for the next plane!

Short answer: The amount of electrical power needed to move a commercial airliner into the sky outstrips said batteries power capacity and output. Also, an electrically powered jet engine will be designed very differently from an fuel burning one.
