And you don’t think slavery is a manifestation of oppression through power imbalance?

What do you believe are the central theme(s) of the game?

I don’t know how anyone can come away from playing FFXVI and say that the enslavement of the Bearers was not one of the central themes of the game, but I suppose it’s just an example of how different people can take very different things away from the same art.

I mean, it’s worse for the author, even if it wasn’t worse for you.

And unless they break it like Apple breaks iPhones in the name of planned obsolescence

It’s going to be really hard for me to ever consider a Fold (vs. a Flip) as long as the price of a flagship phone and a flagship tablet is still less than the single foldable phone.

The overlap between the people who actually put their blood, sweat, and tears into the game, and the people who were okay releasing a broken, janky, IAP-filled game, is basically zero.

The idea of trying to enjoy art without acknowledging the conditions under which that art was created is just so foreign to me.

If this is how Andor ends, it feels like an appropriate ending to the series.

Several articles I’ve seen have made this mistake by mis-quoting the developer post and losing the context:

Piracy is basically a moral imperative at this point. Not to avoid paying for things, but to make sure some things just don’t disappear from the world entirely because a shitty company wants a tax write-off.

Yeah, one of the worst parts of all this is that the people running the show, like Lord and Pascal, with the actual power and influence to change things, seem to have no interest in doing so.

Sigh. Marvel continues to kill off female characters at a remarkable rate. Really disappointed by this decision.

I just can’t imagine looking at the modern Mac lineup running Apple Silicon and thinking Apple has “lost their mojo”, but to teach their own.

It’s a review of the product itself, not whether or not it’s worth upgrading from the 13-inch version to the 15-inch version.

“If you’re a dedicated MacBook owner with a relatively recent M1 or M2 13-inch MacBook Air, it is a tough to justify the 15-inch as an additional purchase.”

You could also just like, pay your writers and give them fair deals? But I guess delaying all your massive movies makes sense, too.

Imagine looking at this chart and still believing that.

Uh hey y’all

What benefits are being realized at this moment?
