This reminds me of the former Houston Texans player who was stopped in the parking lot for speeding by the police as he was trying to get to his mother in law. After explaining the situation and asking if his wife could go and he would deal with the ticket, the cop refused. His mother in law passed away during the

The bias in the test is nothing new:

I used to live in NC for a time myself. I remember this situation happening in Cary when SAS built up its headquarters. The number of kids that were in the Cary school district grew exponentially and the school district had to send kids to the neighboring school district. Needless to say parents were pissed.

I’ve lived that life so I know all to well of the social aspects that go along with changing schools. I didn’t hear one parent complain about Abigail being able to adapt socially or the school having a handful of computers that are up to date, or have enough textbooks so that kids don’t have to share; it was all about

The only thing I could rock with is that not all Black people have to be democrats. The problem is for many that the GOP hasn’t provided much in the way of policy that Blackfolk would sans for.

I have a son on the spectrum too. We did a lot of research on the services within various school districts prior to making our house purchase. It was the best move me and the Mrs made when it comes to our son’s education.

There’s no tuition control; there’s nothing to stop (for example) school x from raising tuition. The lottery for vouchers is another issue. Yes it’s good if you get a slot but how can one really stand by and know that the current system does not afford a student to be the best they can be.

I haven’t seen it. :( Val did bless us with a comment about a month ago.

What’s up gurl!!!!! The old VSB crew has missed your comments.

I know they are not equal; that’s the lie that folks try to feed folks. This is why these folks are up in arms about the proposed change because now they will see what “equal” looks like elsewhere.

This is a separate tangent that rarely gets talked about. We already know that standardized tests have an inherit bias to them and now you have those who can afford to supplementing study efforts.

“But because space is limited, roping off 25% of the seats for disadvantaged kids means that 25% of the current students will be forced to attend a different, likely worse performing school.

The behavior of the parents is why I laugh when folks try to tell me a public school education is equal regardless of if you live in the city or the suburbs.

If the group in front of you is playing slow, letting a group play through doesn’t address the issue of slow play.

Hey Cogito! We got another one! #BlueTakeover!!

As the parent of kid golfers, I see the “what the hell are you doing here / slow play / attire” scenario rear its ugly head for the last 11 years. While we’ve never had the cops called on us, the best thing my boys have ever done is allow those white guys to play along with us and beat them. Then I we continue on our

Especially when the group in front of you is playing slow.

“Despite the fact that calling the police on black people can result in black death, white people continue to do this simply because they can.
