There’s a similar scene in Scandal in which a group is looking to make Poppa Pope do their bidding by threatening to shoot his BAE. In true Poppa Pope fashion, he shoots BAE between the eyes, yells “Ya’ll ain’t got ish on me or over me” and then kills the rogue agent.

He shot her for the same reason Poppa Pope shot his BAE. All of the questions you’re asking could be asked of him but we don’t throw him into the same category.

There’s no #TeamNakia hashtag floating around because under the framework of the movie, the King has the final say in regards to implementation. The question would become does the King give Nakia credit for the idea?
