My God! It's an expression of such PURE slacktivism.. I think I'm going to cry…
And yet these still get made despite the fact that no one will admit to watching them.
We're nerds. Overthinking things is how we entertain ourselves.
One could say that a diamond is still a diamond, even if it is one among many.
And yet, even kids who sneer at anything older than three months ago know who Archie Andrews is.
So we have one candidate who is compulsive overachiever who regards the office as just another gold star to add to her collection. We have one candidate who is totally unqualified but thinks that name recognition will carry him through. We have another candidate who is just in this to enact a petty personal vendetta.
Anything can be taken too far. Such as, trying to mash holidays into generic paste that means nothing to anyone just so that some people people won't feel impinged upon by a holiday they don't celebrate for one reason or another.
ISn't that what Steven said to Andy at the end. Andy is very human, and Steven wants to have a chance to connect to some who lives a very solidly human life.

Hillary always seemed more comfortable with the back room part of politics. Drafting legislation. Conducting negotiations. As a campaigner she seemed to rely on a spreadsheet developed from focus groups to determine what humans are like. She has always inspired more respect than love.
I don't think Hillary is any more "corrupt" than any past president we have had. Her main problem is that she is very much an establishment candidate in an election where everyone is angry at the establishment (for completely opposing reasons, naturally).
"We assume that means she’ll want to make up for lost time with her family"
