One thing that has been bothering me is how down on Matt everyone is being. So what would have happened if he had just been Matt Murdock, lawyer, like everyone seems to want? Well, Karen would have been dead as of season one episode one. Claire would be dead. Various and assorted organized crime rings would still be

It would have been a lot worse. He was delayed getting into the building because he was fighting off a whole contingent on the roof. It is difficult to prove how many more would have died if all the Hand had gotten in unopposed, but at least one person who definitely would have been dead would be Claire.

And yet, if he had listened, they surely would have caught flat-footed when The Hand attacked.

Are you talking about Atom Smasher?

"I have always dreamed of being a baseball."
And Trump salutes the firefighters whose courage he personally witnessed on "7-11"
:p

The heck is Fresher Prince wearing? He looks like he's cosplaying as a jedi padawan or something.

I did say that Matt should not have taken on the case if he couldn't give it the commitment it deserves. Yes, I agree that something has to give in Matt's life.

Why do I get the feeling that Oliver likes superhero shows the less they act like.. superhero shows. Yeah, perhaps Matt shouldn't have pushed to take the case if he couldn't commit to it. But Sava makes it sound like keeping an ancient cult of deathless ninjas from unleashing a weapon called THE BLACK SKY on the city

The throwing chakram were womb symbols?! I don't know what biology textbook you learned from, but wouldn't they be more like triangles than circles?

Wow.. imagine that: a society that highly prizes athleticism looks down on fat people. Who could have predicted? :p

Exactly! Apparently, you're only allowed to proud of your body if you are at least a size 7. If your body fits into a dress below that YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM, YOU CONVENTIONALLY PRETTY TRAMP!!

This may get me burned at the stake, but I don't really like Freakazoid.I liked the first couple of episodes. But after that they stopped having him switch between being Freakazoid and his secret identity. After they started having him be Freakazoid all the time, the unrelenting barrage of zany just got exhausting.

Minerva Mink: The face that launched a thousand furries

Of course the "conspiracy" would go nowhere if you and I, the audience, didn't keep tuning in to see what entertainingly insane thing Trump has done now.

Barry, you threw a lighting bolt at the person with ELECTRICITY POWERS, what did you think was going to happen?

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

It's not surprising that we are hearing more about Rand with the Free-Market purists of the far right feeling so defensive with all this talk about inequality in the air. Rand has always been the go-to for pricks who want to give an intellectual veneer to the fact that they're selfish assholes who wouldn't give bread

For a short time after reading Rand for a High School English class, thought there was something to her philosophy. That's because teenagers are so self-obsessed, so of course they (and myself at that age) imagine themselves as the Rand protagonist. Which is to say, a talented wunderkind that the system is just trying

Better that they spread out their genres more in my opinion than the accepted wisdom of movie scheduling. Want to see a movie in November that ISN'T a self-important piece of Oscar bait? Well screw you! You want to see a movie in July that isn't a CGI-fueled explode-a-thon? Well screw you!
