I see a difference between flying over a protest and running a concentration camp

Did they open fire on the crowds? No? Then your comment has no bearing. And if they brought the plane down IN THE CROWDS many of people would have died.

I seriously fail to see how flying a helicopter over a peaceful protest is the same as forcing people into concentration camps at gunpoint.

Being told to go monitor a protest is not an unlawful order. The pilots cannot and should not refuse to do it.

I'd like it for $5. This is absurdly overpriced for what very much looks like a re-usable grocery bag.

The pilot is Kevin Spacey? Long lost twin at least.

*DING* WHO TURNED ON THEIR F'N IPAD?!!

i don't necessarily disagree with what you are saying. you makes total sense. my point is just simply that at some point in time, new technology is not necessarily a new concept anymore and becomes a common, daily thing - like the original analog phone. at some point no one really needed to be shown how to use a

i respect your opinion but completely disagree. I think there was a time and place for skeuomorphism especially in iOS to help people understand a new platform in literal terms. By now though, even grandmothers understand the concept and the look is dated and gimmicky. I've felt that iOS has looked dated for

I HAVE OF LATE — BUT WHEREFORE I KNOW NOT — LOST ALL MY MIRTH, FOREGONE ALL CUSTOM OF EXERCISES; AND INDEED IT GOES SO HEAVILY WITH MY DISPOSITION THAT THIS GOODLY FRAME, THE EARTH, SEEMS TO ME A STERILE PROMONTORY, THIS MOST EXCELLENT CANOPY, THE AIR, LOOK YOU, THIS BRAVE O'ERHANGING FIRMAMENT, THIS MAJESTICAL ROOF

The fact that was obvious to developers to indicate where the control elements of an application were as soon as they started designing them doesn't mean the need ever expired. Applications don't have controls in the same place. I wouldn't want to have to trial and error my way around an elevator whose buttons were

It has unfortunately put form over function in this case. There's a happy medium between excessive glossiness, and excessive uniformity, especially where interactive regions need to be indicated. This suffers from legibility that's so poor it almost seems intentionally bad, jut to be coy. Did you see your "Slide to

Oh for fucks sake. The article isn't making any comparisons to competing smartphones. It's simply saying that this is a great new feature in iOS. Some people don't give a crap what Samsung might have previously offered, they like Apple better and will be happy about this.

These are all excellent points. I was reading on motelyfool.com that the next shake up will be in the large entertainment providers/distributors (Comcast). They are trying hard to keep their market but that is a losing battle. So the battle will be 3 fold: smart TVs that will stream content/entertainment, the pipe

I agree - it shows complete ignorance on behalf of the design team.

I already use the current Apple TV to watch video content in my living room and bedroom on my existing HDTV(s). I don't even have cable TV anymore. It lets me watch:

I am taking about a 42" flat screen smart TV made by apple, meant to live up on the wall that will sync up with of your other apple devices. Watching/reading content on your phone, when you get home you can continue on the large screen. The next battle is for your living room and the content you consume. Apple wants

Why would I want to buy an expensive Apple-made panel, just to get the useful Apple TV operating system? I'd much rather purchase the $99 Apple TV box, or whatever improvements they can make to it, and add that on to my existing HDTVs.

I thought they were trying to suck up to McCain even more after adding auto background app updates.

Simple answer, apple tv set box will be obsolete. Apple is working on a smart TV ... yes a TV made by Apple that will hang on your walls in a not too far distant future. Samsung and Apple are about to start some serious competition.
