How about just retconning the name into someone / something else? There are lots of people named Austin besides racists like Stephen F. Austin.

Fair enough. I fly Southwest all over the country (although granted, always to or from the west coast), and I can’t think of a *single thing* that American / Delta / United do better than Southwest.
It’s funny how often I hear people, who clearly have never flown Southwest (or haven’t in the last 10 years) call it a “cattle car”, when in fact Southwest has more room, better service, and a far more orderly boarding process than the legacy carriers.
If you can drive it in six hours or less, it’s worth avoiding the pain in the ass hassle of today’s airports.
Well, that’s because in the 60's, pretty much everyone was flying today’s equivalent of business class. And they were paying for today’s equivalent of business class too.
What was the route? In some cases, especially internationally, airlines might want to operate a route from point A to point C, but due to either the length of the route (and fuel needed), security needs, slot capacity, etc. they might need to have the plane stop at point B first. Then, if you catch the flight from B…
At least when I lived there (7-10 years ago), the Flyaway bus only went from Union Station, and was a bit of a pain to get to from the USC area - it felt painful and frustrating to head northwest on a bus to sit at union station and then finally board another bus that headed the opposite direction toward the airport.…
...A bunch of people going to LAX on a bus (which is what it is, Elon. You’ve reinvented the bus. Congratulations on your revolutionary idea).
That’s an image of another dumbass Musk idea-to-solve-a-problem-that-doesn’t-actually-solve-anything-and-just-reinvents-the-wheel-in-an-overly-complicated-way.
In the ideal system, MGM would be basically a form of co-op, administered by a classless society (I’d assume a direct democracy in this idealized, completely equal, society) and the victims might be able to claim partial ownership of the hotel as recompense.
Yeah, let’s not forget that Trump apparently thought, during the entire healthcare debate, that “health insurance” and “life insurance” were the same thing.
My inlaws both work for Costco, and have for decades. Neither is college educated, but they have worked their way up to be a store manager and an accountant, and live a very secure, upper middle class life, having sent my husband to college and grad school and set my brother in law up with a down payment on a house.…
Costco typically has an 8 to 10 percent markup on most items they sell and an approximate 15 percent markup on their own brand of goods.
even if ten million members have standard memberships that they refresh every year, that’s only $600 million to a company that makes billions a year.
If you listen to Hrishikesh Hirway and Joshua Malina’s West Wing Weekly podcast (if you’re a fan of the show, you should), you’d know they have been talking about reboots for years, mostly as a joke / curiosity. Most of the cast members and crew remain friends, and Malina’s charming but sometimes annoying sense of…
I get the feeling that the Queen is going to pass Charlies over and got straight to William. Why else would she keep holding on to that throne?
Tory Birch comes from a “wealthy investor” father, and Meg Whitman was born and raised in a wealthy part of New York state, to a father who ran a financial advisory firm. So they were at least very upper class, if not multi-millionaires.
Really? Because I barely ever see styrofoam anymore and have definately noticed that it has been decreasing in use. Most restaurants around me serve takeout food in paper cartons, or more-recyclable plastic containers. The burger I got at the airport last night was served in compostable “egg crate” style paperboard…
I’d also recommend, if you have a long layover at Heathrow (and if you’ve been to London before), to visit Windsor instead. It’s near the airport, a charming little British town, and of course there’s Windsor Castle right there, which is far more accessible for tours, and frankly much more impressive, than Buckingham…
There isn’t damage, he ended up selling more mugs with the exposure
