I hear what you’re saying. But there’s playoffs, and there’s games in general - the general thought (maybe not statistically, and maybe this is the myth) is that MJ and Kobe were clutch, and part of that mythos stemmed from their kill ‘em competitiveness, which Lebron hasn’t seemed to develop in the eyes of fans

Not going into the difference between the two admins....just giving an example of why typical ethics waivers are needed sometimes.

There’s no “myth” with respect to Jordan. There’s myth behind Babe Ruth, or perhaps much earlier NBA/ABA players, because documentation of what they did isn’t 100% readily available.

The most outrageous part of the Kathy Griffin apology video is that it cut out JUST BEFORE she closed her apology with “We all float down here......”

Rage away!!!! I mentioned in another post that previous waivers were VERY specific, and that this Excel spreadsheet that was posted was likely in response to a June 1st deadline that needed to inform the OGE of waivers. If this is all they’re giving us, and it stays so general, then the more outrage the better!

When they had the Beach House at the Jersey Shore one year, Carson Daly was very close to get his creep-a-zoid face punched off of his head. He was notoriously a scumbag to a bunch of girls there, a few of which were friends of mine.

Just based on the limited reading I just did, there are certain situations where a Presidential appointee needs an “ethics waiver” to comply with ethics restrictions imposed at the time of the appointment.

My assumption here is that the Excel spreadsheet that’s been released is just to comply with the June 1st deadline informing the OGE that waivers have been issued.

The first paragraph of this article is very similar to a passage that Neil DeGrasse Tyson states in his most recent book (Astrophysics for Those in a Hurry), talking about grav. wave detection.

Now playing

This is OK, but nothing will top Taylor’s Big Day (except for Barney Stinson’s time on TPiR) - and Taylor wasn’t a self-aggrandizing knob.

I made the mistake of switching to ABC when I was going to sleep (I sleep with the TV on, and wake up to ABC, which is the SOLE reason why this shit was on).

“Thanks, Mister Pompadou......you happen to have this as an audio book? I think there are pages missing here too - I don’t see any pictures.”

For sure....I wasn’t a huge fan (I had the self-titled) but then for some reason re-appreciated them right around the time of Hoon’s death. And I’m glad I did.

I venture to add Shannon Hoon to this list as well. While not part of the real “grunge” group, he was certainly as good a music mind and one who left us way too early as well.......

Well let’s hope - given Chaffetz’s track record, I’d be pleasantly surprised

Here’s the thing.

Bottom line - don’t be a dick.

Are you seriously bemoaning this movie because of its portrayal of Ecuador and the fact that they get kidnapped there? I can get the “it’s not funny”, etc., but seriously.......let’s be real here, the concept isn’t exactly far-fetched.

I just watched that entire thing. It was pleasantly therapeutic, especially after reading thru these comments. Thank you.
