Heat might be an issue. Sony did increase the power of the PSP a long time ago for a God of War game. I am sure it could be done if Nintendo wanted and there wasn’t too big of a downside. It did impact battery life in the case of the PSP.

They should go back to 2D (or even 2.5D style) games. That look is timeless and would look great on the Switch. The move to 3D has clearly been a struggle for them.
