I do agree with this, however, a lot of it is just basic math. If, for instance, after you pay all of your bills, you have $500 left over for a transportation expenses, you don’t spend $400 of it on a car.

This is actually NBD. A lot of owners disable AFM anyway. In the long term, they tend to cause problems and in actual use, the gas mileage will actually increase under the same driving conditions.
