Volkswagen needs to pull a page out of Foxconn’s playbook. Make like you’re going to build a plant somewhere, but you just need to find the “right place.” That’ll convince the Dipshit in Chief that you’re going to give him what he wants, so he’ll back off of the tariff threats.

Well, there IS a Stuttgart, Arkansas.

yes.

The E-Type Coupe is one of the best looking cars ever made...how did you get this job?

Re: the E-Type coupe, it’s ok to admit when you’re wrong.

The only judging he is doing is the monthly amount.  If you gave him a $2500/month payment for 30 years to get a Bentley you know what he would be rolling out of the dealership with.

Coming from a guy who doesn’t much care for SUVs, The GV80 is a very good looking vehicle, better than any BMW and Mercedes SUV in the looks department imo. A concept, but wow I could be seen in this:

And it seems there always has been, even before there was the political angle. Or I guess there always was a political angle, just for different reasons. Used to be that electric cars were the devil’s creation because they’re going to take away our beloved gas cars, and once electric cars became widely accepted, they

I’ve seen figures anywhere from 150,000 to 400,000 miles of expected life for current-gen Tesla batteries and motors. The factory warranty is 8 years 120k miles in most cases.

I’m convinced the only people who say “Well X dealers are actually good” are just the suckers falling for the dealer’s bullshit.

“Why would the best, most effective value proposition to distribute vehicles to customers not be your first choice?” Devlin asked Auto News. “And why would you reject an existing distribution and sales system that already exists?”

Yeah, I have a Conti DWS’ on there right now for cold/wet. My M240i doesn’t get driven in the snow/ice. I have other cars for that. Been trying to find a set of used wheels in a square setup for summer/track that I like. Don’t think 17s would work with the factory upgraded brakes. So, looking at 18s but tire size is

BMW and Mercedes do this because many of their buyers are badge whores. In this case, we are talking about their entry level models. But they know that the buyer is going to feel better about an entry level model if it has the M. So now they are cooler in their leased X1 M than the guy rolling around in a regular X5.

Get rid of the run flats that BMW sticks on everything and that clears up a lot of it.

the only certainty in being human is uncertainty. well, and death and taxes, i guess

Here’s a vote for keeping a two-pilot flight crew. And Airbus is pushing EASA for single-pilot flight decks.

It’s sad, but even people in the best of health have unexpected medical events from time to time. That’s why there are co-pilots.
