Sounds nefarious. I traveled to Belize (flew into Belize City, spent a week in San Pedro) this Christmas and I brought my MacBook Air and Bose headphones in my bag on my back, in my hand, or in a locked house 24/7. I wouldn't even let my family (or cabbies) touch the bag. There's really no excuse to leave luggage
