It depends. I would assume not, in most cases (including this one), but if you're high up enough in a company's org chart, you would likely get a severance. This obviously doesn't apply here, unless public servants have a different system.

But you're a woman!!! (I assume.) The women's are too emotional to discuss anything calmly! Because science!!!
Everything about this story makes me sad. The single mom with six kids who escaped an abusive relationship, how that abusive surely impacted her kids (and her, obvs), her abandoning her kids, the impact of that on her kids, etc.
Maaaaybe. I'm mixed on them. I blame the sweet vodkas they make... Particularly PB&J....
I was baffled, but not offended. Have a great weekend.
Ok, so, I'm really sorry you were bullied in high school. That's fucked up. But.
You think there's something not right? I'm guessing you aren't a lawyer. I mean... This woman could go to the cops (I assume. Not sure what the law in Australia is,) instead, I suppose. These are children threatening to rape and kill her. You think it's not right for their parents to know that??
I love these two ladies. So much. I'm not the type to speak to celebrities if I see them in public (I used to live in LA, so that could have been a thing.) BUT. I'm super glad I read Amy Poehler's book. She is one person I might have spoken to. Now I know she doesn't enjoy that.
Me too!
She is the BEST. I hope more women start doing this.
I don't drink soda. I loved it as a kid/teen, but gave it up while in undergrad. I don't miss/crave it at all.
All UV vodkas are disgusting. I used to work in the spirits industry. This is - legit - a professional opinion. *shudder*
or at least in your Twitter bio...
so... Robe and slippers (or sandals)? Really, folks. You don't need to dress for delivery people.
Delivery guy comes to your door, right? No need for shoes. Also: if you have a robe handy, you can skip the pants. #LifeLessons
I have a visceral reaction to the term "adorkable." I think the endless use in New Girl promos just killed it for me. (Although I like the new season of NG!)
I hate cereal, but I can't be mad about the sentiment.
Consent isn't just for people!
I grew up in LA, so I have some fun(?) Scientology stories.
Thanks, but no need to feed trolls on my account. I give zero fucks! :-)
