Reverse: A few years back my wife and I took a train from Chicago to San Francisco and we went through the Donner Pass in winter. They even got some guy from a train history museum on to talk about it. He went into incredible detail but somehow never once mentioned cannibalism. Not once.

Agreed. Where I grew up (Chicago suburbs) I would have used off road ability to ignore curbs. Speed would have just let me tailgate more aggressively I guess.
