On the topic of inspection, how do you suggest one go about finding a person or place appropriate for that kind of work?

Well, maybe if all violent criminals/murderers are logically considering their options and likely outcomes from their actions...I’m not sure we can bet on that

I recall once or twice my 1989 Chevy Caprice wagon would forget that I’d turned off cruise and turn it back on while I was stopping and floor it.  Neutral and turning the car off fixed it on the short term, and avoidance of the cruise function was the long term fix

I was just talking about which is safer to the driver. Riding like that is like tying ropes to the steering wheel and sitting on the bumper of an RV.  Very fine idiots on both sides. 
As for the causer of whatever hypothetical accident, true but irrelevant.   No matter the fault, everybody gets hurt to some degree.

Honestly, I’m not sure which is safer. If I’m on a motorcycle at least I only have the other car to worry about, not my own coming to pieces and hitting me.
Also, you can do a lot less damage to the rest of the world with a bike than your other examples
