I would attest to this. I work for a non profit. While I make quite a bit under market for an IT professional, I have far more flexibility with my time than I would in an equivalent corporate job.

Having a gun for protection makes so much more sense when there is an actual threat to your life than a perceived one.

Everyone of my credit cards is set up to pay at least the monthly minimum. I either add to that payment or use a second payment on top of that minimum each month to pay down the debt. Obviously, I make sure I have enough to pay the minimums (which I do).
