Every facet of this movie's existence is weapons-grade stupid.

He's right, but The Boys and Rogen's general oeuvre are also for kids (albeit slightly older). 

I watched the first 2 myself. Didn't come anywhere close to capturing the magic of its sister show Interview. One of the bigger letdowns in recent memory. 

Very odd headline. Netflix likes that people are paying them money for a thing, so that makes said thing “popular to Netflix”? What information or flavor does that add to the story? 

Now that I know we could get more episodes of  an overrated show that already ran too long, I sure hope things in America and the world at large simmer down soon! 

So Muniz has brain-damage to the point where he doesn't remember making the show, Masterson is very likely to be a sex pest given that he's just as culty as his confirmed rapist brother, and the rest of the cast has barely worked in the interim. All this, combined with the fact that nobody watched the last year or two…

Odd that Frederick’s original actor Trevor Einhorn is still working (he even had a memorable if not crucial role on Mad Men) but they’re not having him reprise. Guess he makes for a bit less of a convincing firefighter, to be fair...

At the risk of sounding overdramatic, seeing this story pop up without the Dinklage pic made me realize that the old AVClub I loved is officially dead forever. :\

I understand your confusion- the series was “Superman’s Best Friend Jimmy Olsen Hangs Out With Batman’s Best Butler Alfred Pennyworth For Some Reason”.

I’m not sure making out, or foreplay in general, was much of a concern in those, uh... situations.

While I can’t say this does anything for me as far as making me want to watch this show, I do dig this kind of incidental universe-sharing that simply implies crossover potential without actually bringing along the baggage an actual intersection might bring. Wish more shows would do stuff like this. Still waiting for a…
