1. This is done in NCAA soccer, some high school, and was done in MLS the first few years and let me tell you: It. Fucking. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. It drags games out a lot longer than they should be. And it can kill a real meaningful attack that, under normal, could score a goal. It takes getting use to but it starts to

I think a lot of this is just two sides talking past each other. From my point of view, you haven't been hearing about the same "tipping point" since 1994. You've heard optimistic projections about soccer, sure, but the vast majority of soccer proponents have always gone out of their way to talk about steady,

Also, like in any sport, scorers get a disproportionate amount of love compared to defensive stalwarts

It was not Cavani who flicked the ball on but Gerrard, who had a big steaming turd of a game. Suarez would have been offside had it been Cavani who headed it to him.

Isn't he crying because a sign of brain injury is mood swings?

LOL. Hopefully England v Uruguay will be as exciting as that second half of Columbia v IC!

I'm not sure if you are scolding me or something, but I was congratulating him on playing well. He didn't dive, and therefore scored a very nice goal. I wish more of them would stay on their feet.

He stayed on his feet. No diving, no flopping when he could have. STAY ON YOUR FEET and good things will happen.

"Justin Ayers is dead after a neighbor recklessly shot a bullet into Ayers' home earlier this week."

I don't think "pussy-ness" plays into that at all, though — selling a an injury (fake or not) is just another way of getting an advantage and pretty much is a part of the game. It doesn't really play into manhood. Not that I like it.

Oh, shut up: it was a great match. If you cannot enjoy those incredible saves seen today don't even bother watching soccer.

I know someone who ruptured their spleen on an ATV too. It was a long time ago and in Australia- but it almost finished him as well.

Coming here as a motorcycle rider. I think ATVs carry the same risk as scooters because there's a perception that you don't need to wear any safety gear to ride one. I would not personally ride any motor-type vehicle without at least a helmet, jacket, gloves.

I know this is anecdotal, but I have heard so many horror stories about ATV accidents from people I know. From hurt pelvises to death - these things are terrible!!

no.

I'm so happy that I'm not the only one who hates Alex Trebek for no real reason.
