I wonder what she says when her assistants ask for a raise. Maybe she just throws her book at them and says they need to work harder and hire 3 assistants to be more like her.

You should not feel guilty. I think you’re also clumping yourself into an “elitist jerks” group unfairly. There is the “Meta” and then there’s playing a balanced team.
There’s a few scenarios like that I remember where things just translate very :X Usually they are just a cheap laugh in context but this jerkoff had to go and make it worse :P
His job is localization, not just translation though. For example if the literal translation for something was “thong” (in reference to flip-flops) you can’t just now say it means “thong” (of Sisqo fame). The same applies for phrases like “My foot fell asleep” which don’t translate their meaning properly.
Shouldn’t the “Stand your ground” folks be rallying to this man’s side?
Watch this in the meantime if you haven’t already: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/13th_(film)
He’s better than I am with all my senses. Bunch of jerk offs on the internet.
Oh wow I must have missed that. They were sending procedurally generated emails to war widows?!
I agree with everything you’ve said. When you really take a moment to think about it, its DEPRESSING AS HELL ; ;
They definitely got good at killing the machines lol. It seemed from their conversations in that bunker that they even had a strategy for killing one of the giant tentacle/matrix machines (The Metal Devils I guess) and that they had done it before a few times.
Yep! And without people who really understood or mastered the English language words could easily start to become misinterpreted and lose meaning or develop a whole new radical meaning.
I’m not a soldier myself but I have a lot of friends who have served voluntarily and in combat/non-combat roles.
Good point a good bit of that adjustment must have come from Rost helping “prepare” her but I don’t think anyone is ready to go from mud huts to the equivalent of the bronze age in a few days. I’m assuming there’s a lot of the “fill in the blank” of Rost, Focus Lessons, etc. its a very minor greivence of mine
Yeah, even if the plot points don’t purposely lead somewhere to DLC a Sequel or whatever its great to have it there, maybe it just blew up, poof done (like Challenger, not every tragedy is long and drawn out).
True, probably not necessary to have her bumbling around unable to communicate with people for a few hours XD
Yes. All signs point to it being destroyed. I am going to assume in most cases it is. I will have to search again but I remember reading an interesting post about this being wrong but that’s very slim chance and speculation. Should’ve bookmarked it! x.x
This is all I found so far, there was something else: “ Last…
What was everyone’s opinion about about the ending or the overall message? It wasn’t a roller coaster ride of an ending, it was very subtle but everything about Elisabet would bring me to tears. Her last words about the Ivy Tree were so sad, it really sends a message that people on Earth today do need to give a shit,…
I get what you’re saying here about side quests in most games but it actually seems to make sense in this narrative. Look at our real world, we have major problems like climate change, how to deal with automation/AI and hunger. Yet we don’t have the entire world thinking about these problems or working towards them.
“That escalated quickly” has never been more appropriate of a saying at the end of the proving. It is probably what got me hooked on the game. I thought it was going to be a cheesy narrative about Aloy growing up. Making some friends, having a rivalry with some of the other kids that discriminated against her etc. and…
I don’t think Ted sent the signal. There is a lot of discussion on the Reddit about an AI dedicated to monitoring the eco-system. That AI is mentioned in the “Error/Corruption” signal logs for HADES.
