I think Winn's only known about Kara's secret for about a year now, so she might now have told him about her Earth Birthday, so he wouldn't know that this particular day had any sort of significance. Although she did look lonely at the end there.

If I was in charge of booking Raw until Wrestlemania, this is how I'd book it;

I would love if he was a Cadmus agent, How would Kara react to fighting someone she previously loved (or at least had a super crush on)? They could even do the Speedy/Red Arrow/Arsenal plot from Young Justice with him if they were so bold. One can dream!

I agree, would have been nice to have a few hints along the way, but since James becoming Guardian literally came out of no where, and was most likely not planned in advance, there would have been little opportunity to plant some seeds. One can dream though!
